Bespoke kitchen commission made from solid Fiddle Back Sycamore and Ebony, situated in a Georgian Hall in Lancashire. The client brief was not only to work in harmony with the architectural detailing of the hall but also to reflect the feel of the original Georgian furniture which was made from Indian Satinwood and Ebony. The desired effect was achieved using Indian Black Ebony and Fiddle Back Sycamore (satinwood being no longer available). Made entirely by hand, this combination of black and ivory and the use of a dentil cornice created a timeless classical feel, perfectly suited to the situation.
